When I got my driving permit, it was a surprise from my parents so I wasn’t wearing makeup and my hair looked horrible. Same thing when I got my driver’s license, which I got when I was 18. Notice the “Under 21 until 4-1-2006”.

I’ve had that license since I was 18! I knew my license was going to expire this year so I was glad I would only have to get a new one once. For renewing AND changing my name. I knew I was going to get it, I knew I had to have a new picture and I was GLAD! (See following)

Unfortunately, I didn’t have my birth certificate with me when I went to get my new license, so I couldn’t renew. I had all my information changed and everything, but it still said that it expired this year. I thought I would be able to just renew it online. No. I had to bring my birth certificate to the DMV and renew it there.
We went yesterday to the DMV and they were closed. Go figure. So I went back today. I assumed that I would just have to pay the renewal fee and they would give me the sticker thing to put on the back of my license since I had JUST gotten a new one! No.
I had to get another picture taken. I was so mad! I didn’t have makeup on. My hair was ok. But if I had known I had to get another picture, I would have put makeup on! Here’s my current license:

EWWW!!! I’m so irritated. I will have this picture on my license for the next 5 years. *Sigh* Oh well.

I despise the DMV. But for what it is worth, your picture is not bad. I have seen a whole lot worse!

SO pretty much since I got my ID for SOME crazy reason it has always said MALE!! I even went in to specifically change it with my birth certificate! and it still said MALE! Anyway fast forward many years to when I got my license I REFUSED to still have MALE on my brand spankin new license I worked so hard for lol SO I took my pic and then went on my way, my license was on hold until I came in the next day to show them my birth certificate and any other err… proof! haha yes I was going to go there! I was serious. So I went in after work thinkin I would just show them (the certificate!) and the would release it and send it off n the mail NOOOOPE! they wanted a pic! FML I my hair was a mess I was in my work uniform it was awful. When it came in the mail it said FEMALE and my hair was ok my smile adorable BUT apparently I stood too far back and uhm yeah my work shirt logo was in it along with my “granny sweater”!!

I hate the DMV every time I have to go I have the worst luck!!! I am either missing something, or the line is too long! Great new picture though 🙂

I havent got any license yet, honestly. But I have my license as a pharmacist, and how I hated my picture. Didn’t realize that I’ll be using it for the next five years. I know how you feel… haha…

For some reason my sister believed that when she turned 21 she didn’t have to take a new license picture. So she goes down to the DMV in Memphis with her hair unwashed & thrown up in a hat and no makeup on. She’s sitting & talking with several older black ladies when they informed her that she did indeed have to take a new picture. She starts freaking out and the women are just laughing at her. But they were so sweet, they gathered several bobby pins and gave them to her so she could do something with her hair. She ended up throwing it into a bun thanks to those women. Now her picture isn’t of her ratty hair but a cute, Amish lady bun. Haha!

I hate mine! But AZ drivers licenses don’t expire for about 50 years or so. So I have awhile until I get a new one.
I need a new one since turning 21 in September but I’ll probably just order it from online.
