To say that I love my city is a vast understatement. I can’t imagine living anywhere else. Nashville is beautiful, artistic, friendly and full of so many interesting and fun things to do. We are known as Music City USA. The Home of Country Music.
However, good music is not the only thing Nashville has! The gourmet and artisan food scene has been growing a lot in the last several years. Local restaurants have been featured on several shows on the Food Network and the Travel Channel. My husband, my sister and I have been going to local restaurants to try the delicious foods available. We are definitely Foodies!
Nashville even has a food and wine festival! My husband (who is in culinary school) actually got to go and prep food for the festival several days last week. He was there while we went out to lunch! He even got to meet some famous chefs!

Last week my mom, my sister, a friend and I went to a local burger joint. My husband, my sister and I had been before but my mom and her friend had not. I was excited to see what they thought because we love it!
We went to The Pharmacy Burger Parlor and Beer Garden. They use 100% Tennessee Beef. I love that. They make their own sodas and phosphates. I love the Strawberry Ginger and Chocolate sodas! They have a great selection of Wurstchen (sausages), chicken sandwiches and obviously beers. (A whole page of beers on the menu!) But I’m all about the burgers. This time, I had the Mission City Burger which had guacamole, pico de gallo, slow-cooked black beans and horchata crema fresca on it.
The burger was sooo good! I got french fries and the black bean and corn salad as my sides. They also have tater tots, sweet potato fries, german potato salad, pasta salad and cole slaw. Great selection!
The fries are probably the best I’ve ever had. Perfectly crispy and soft. Just how I like them. The salad was really good too.
And of course, my sister and I got chocolate shakes! Very delicious. (We had them first! Shh! Don’t tell anyone!)
There are many other places on our list of Nashville restaurants and even food trucks that we want to try. I can’t wait!
I did not receive anything for writing this post. These opinions are purely mine. Simply because I love my city and it’s food!
MMM, now I am hungry after reading this post. A fellow blogger meet Carla Hall and said she was super nice.
I love Nashville for the food and weather!
