Manicure Monday: Scout
When I was in high school I went through a gothic phase. I wore mostly black, most of the time. My friends called me “gothically glamorous”. I loved that. One of my favorite things was black nail polish.
Since then I’ve given up most of my black. I try not to wear black shirts with my black yoga pants. But every once in a while I still pull out the black nail polish. It holds a special place in my heart. And it has changed so much in the last decade! It’s not just the plain black anymore. There are shimmers and glitters and matte and more. (Which would have come in handy for my gothically glamorous self!)
I have a few bottles of black nail polish from Julep, but this is one of my newer ones. From Julep:
Color description: Phantom black shimmer
I wasn’t sure if I would like this color at first but I really do. It’s hard to really tell what it looks like in my blurry picture so here’s the one from the website.
It’s a shimmer polish, but it covers almost like a creme. I put on two coats on top of my Be Strong. And of course, I used the Freedom Polymer Topcoat to finish. Overall, I am really impressed with this black nail polish.
BE A MAVEN!
On my first Manicure Monday post, I shared about becoming a Maven subscriber and getting a fun box of Julep nail polish every month. If you haven’t already, make sure you check it out! You can get great discounts and even FREE products! I love this program so much that I had to share it with you.
Have you ever had a gothic phase?
