Food Truck Love Lobster Edition: Cousins Maine Lobster Nashville
If you know me at all then you know that I’m a foodie. I love good food. I definitely love fresh lobster!
My husband, sister and I saw an episode of Shark Tank that had Cousins Maine Lobster. We were extremely excited to find out that they were opening a truck in Nashville!
Yesterday when my sister and I were out running errands we decided to get lunch. I pulled out my trusty smart phone and starting looking for restaurants close by. There was another food truck listed and when I said “food truck” my sister got all excited. She said “OH YEAH! Cousins Maine Lobster Nashville is going to be close to here today!” So we looked up the address and went off on the search.
It took us probably 15-20 minutes to actually FIND them but eventually we did.
Picking One Lobster Dish Out of Seven
The menu at Cousins Maine Lobster Nashville (and I’m assuming all of their trucks in 12 other cities) has more than just lobster. But there are SEVEN choices that have lobster!! How are you supposed to pick just ONE?!
We stood there looking at the menu for at least 10 minutes. There was a short line but we had gotten there just a few minutes after they opened up. Finally, we both made a decision. We both got the Lobster Quesadilla and split an order of the Lobster Tater Tots. I also ordered a Maine Lobster Roll for my husband. My sister was going to get the Whoopie Pie Ice Cream and the Maine Lobster Ice Cream but they were out of season so she got each of us a Wicked Whoopie Pie. The food truck doesn’t make them but they are made in Maine.
Lobster Quesadillas
These were so good! They use locally made flour tortillas and of course the Maine lobster. Add in warm melty cheese with the cilantro lime sauce and pico de gallo. Delish!
Lobster Tater Tots
Holy Lobster, Batman! There was quite a bit of lobster on these yummy tots. Cousins Maine Lobster Nashville definitely doesn’t go skimpy on the lobster!! This dish also has the cilantro lime sauce and pico de gallo.
Maine Lobster Roll
Do you SEE the lobster?! This is the dish I ordered for my husband although he did let me try a bite. It was some of the freshest tasting lobster I have ever had. I can’t wait to try it again!
Wicked Whoopie Pie
My sister wasn’t super impressed with the whoopie pies but she had her heart set on ice cream. I really liked it. I love cake and icing so this was perfect for me. For whoopie pies, it was one of the best in my book!
Cousins Maine Lobster Nashville
For being my first review of a food truck, I think this is one of the best options available! I really like the couple that owns this truck and even talked to them about my husband working with them! The truck has a cool vibe to it. They even had a fishing net hanging on a shelf.
It’s hard to tell in that picture but there are two TVs next to the windows that have the menu and rotating pictures of the food. The pictures make your mouth water but also make it harder to decide what to order! HA! They also have this cool sign about the Cousins Maine Lobster company.
So that’s Cousins Maine Lobster Nashville! If you live here definitely check them out. I think they may be our new favorite food truck!
Here’s one more picture. I thought the sign was cute.
