Guess what! My husband’s retirement ceremony is TODAY!!! I am so excited but definitely not as much as he is. He has been counting down the days for 20 years! No more uniform. No more shaving every day. No more 6:30 am PT. I’d be excited too!
The thing I’m most excited about is NO MORE DEPLOYMENTS!!! We only went through one, but the fact that there will be no more waiting for news of a deployment is such a relief! He won’t be in a war zone anymore.
Needless to say, we are ready for this. We are moving back home in 2 1/2 weeks! We are going to be living in my sister’s condo which has much more room than this little apartment! And we will be able to go to our church every week without having to drive an hour+ to get there. Praise Jesus!
Now just because he will be retiring from the military doesn’t mean he’s done working! We are both looking for jobs to offset the reduced income. We will still be working on our businesses so we can eventually do them full time. So a major prayer request for us is that we both find jobs! Preferably jobs we like!
