I am looking for several things for my wedding and wedding-related festivities. I am having some trouble finding things! One of them should be so simple. I want a black cotton hoodie that zips in the front and has pockets. Something like this:
I need it to be a 3X-4X, because I like them to be loose. I don’t want any design on it, because I am going to customize it. But I can’t find one!! Please help!
There are more things, but I will put them on here later. I have friends here, so I must go.

WE HAVE A WEDDING DATE!!!

That’s right people. After much discussing, we have decided to get married on our 1 yr dating anniversary. I am so excited. It’s a very special day. Not just some random date on the calendar. No one’s birthday (no one that we know anyways!), not a holiday. Just our day.
I am so happy.
However… That’s only 2 months to plan! Thankfully, we’re just doing a small ceremony this year. Matthew’s deployment got pushed up by 6 months, and his family wouldn’t be able to get out here for the wedding before he deploys. So, just some of my family, and a few close friends will be at this ceremony. Then, when he gets back from the desert, we’ll have our big wedding. My dream wedding.
My wedding planning blog will have more stuff on this. When I get a dress, I will NOT be posting any pictures online. I do not want Matthew to see it. But, I may be willing to email some. Just ask.

So, you know how I’ve been dreaming of my wedding for most of my life? And you know how I’ve started planning the wedding for August 2010?
Well NO MORE! Matthew’s upcoming deployment got bumped up 6 months. So he’ll be gone before August.
He called me this morning to tell me that. Of course, he was out of town for TDY and I felt so horrible. I cried. I called/texted my friends. Didn’t get to talk to Matthew again until he got home. (Like 30 mins ago)
We haven’t made any definite plans. We’re thinking we might to a JOP ceremony and then plan the big wedding for after he gets back. Which would mean we would have more money for it, and I would have more time to plan it.
I’m not sure. Updates to follow.

Today was so much fun. We went to Kohl’s and Target to register for wedding gifts. I didn’t know if Matthew would have much fun, but he did! It was such a great day. Hehe. Tomorrow, after church, we’re going to Dillards. YAY!

WE’RE ENGAGED!!!
Matthew and I drove to NC yesterday to bring his daughter home. I had my alarm set for 4:45 am, so we could leave by 6am. Well, he woke me up at 4:30am. I said, “What are you doing?” He said “You told me you were getting up at 4:30am.” He sat there for a minute. I repeated myself. “What are you doing?” He held out the ring, saying “I was gonna ask you a question.” I sat up straight, my eyes wide. He said “Will you marry me?” I said “YES!”.
Simple. To the point. Perfect.
He is so amazing. I have been on cloud nine ever since. We met my parents in Knoxville, on our way to NC. They had gone to Bristol the night before for the race. When they got to the restaurant, I said “Are you ready?” They looked at me with confused faces. I held out my hand. My mom said “HE DID IT!” LOL! He had asked my parents 3 weeks ago for permission to marry me. Everyone thought he would do it last Friday, which was our 9 month anniversary. And one year before our wedding. (We’ve known for a few months that we were gonna get married. It just wasn’t official. LOL!)
SO now it is official. Let the planning begin!

I’m pretty sure none of my bridesmaids will see this before they get their cards in the mail. (If you do, forget you saw it and act surprised!!) I’ve always wanted to make cute little cards asking my best friends to be my bridesmaids. So here is what I came up with. (Each one is a little different.)
What do you think? I’m still looking for more ideas for my invitations. I will be making those too. I want to make as much as possible. I also just bought this awesome monogram stamper from Hobby Lobby today, HALF OFF!! I will be using this for a TON of stuff. I have images in my head of things I can use this stamper for years to come! Check out the website to see more of their stuff.

I am wanting ideas for DIY things I can make for my wedding. I am trying to keep my costs down as much as I can, but still have all the things I want. My friend Katie has gotten me addicted to all things Michael’s and Martha Stewart. LOL!
I absolutely love the style of this invitation but I would make my own. Look at the prices! EEK!
I’ll post more when I get back. Matthew just got home and we’re meeting his friend for lunch. LATER!
