The Most Unbelievable Blue Eyes I Have Ever Seen

.

My beautiful stepdaughter C has her daddy’s eyes. They are so beautiful. I love looking into them. Of course, she and her daddy both know that and will close their eyes to be mean! But that’s ok. I am so thrilled that I got this picture. It’s definitely one of my favorites. Here’s another one.

This was from our wedding. So beautiful. (I’m not partial or anything!) C is the sweetest girl I’ve ever met. She loves to cuddle with me. I call her my Monkey because she likes to hang on me. I love it. :)

Here is our happy little family the day that my sweetheart proposed to me. I am so incredibly blessed. (This picture is missing her 2 sisters, but they were thought of!)

ENGAGEMENT PICTURES!!!

So my sister took some pics of us today, at various locations. Here are a few of my favorites.

I love these! There are a lot more, and we will be taking even more. But these are the ones I really love. And I edited some of them. I will do more this week and get them up here too. YAY!

Much Love,

IT’S OFFICIAL!!!

WE’RE ENGAGED!!!

Matthew and I drove to NC yesterday to bring his daughter home. I had my alarm set for 4:45 am, so we could leave by 6am. Well, he woke me up at 4:30am. I said, “What are you doing?” He said “You told me you were getting up at 4:30am.” He sat there for a minute. I repeated myself. “What are you doing?” He held out the ring, saying “I was gonna ask you a question.” I sat up straight, my eyes wide. He said “Will you marry me?” I said “YES!”.

Simple. To the point. Perfect.

He is so amazing. I have been on cloud nine ever since. We met my parents in Knoxville, on our way to NC. They had gone to Bristol the night before for the race. When they got to the restaurant, I said “Are you ready?” They looked at me with confused faces. I held out my hand. My mom said “HE DID IT!” LOL! He had asked my parents 3 weeks ago for permission to marry me. Everyone thought he would do it last Friday, which was our 9 month anniversary. And one year before our wedding. (We’ve known for a few months that we were gonna get married. It just wasn’t official. LOL!)

SO now it is official. Let the planning begin!

YAY!!!

Much Love,

BOOKS!

I’m totally frustrated. I have a box. Somewhere. Probably in my storage unit.

In this box, are my books. Some of them that I have started to read. But then I moved. So they got packed up. And now I don’t know where they are.

Anywho.

Some of you have mentioned that you wanted to see the previously mentioned pictures of my rings. Hehe.

So here they are!

I seriously took like 20 pictures of them, but it took forever to get clear pictures. So I ended up with like THREE good ones! LOL! What do you think?!

Much Love,

BIG NEWS!!!

Hello Ladies! For those of you who know (or don’t!), I am getting married next August. Well, Matthew wanted me to pick out my own ring because he knows how picky I am. We had been looking at rings for a while, and every ring I tried on just didn’t look right on my finger or it wasn’t princess cut. I have ALWAYS wanted a princess cut ring. I thought I wanted a princess cut solitare, but when I tried one on, it looked horrible, made my finger look fat, just didn’t look right.

So I started looking at 3 stone rings, solitares with small side stones rings, etc. Even tried some with very elaborate settings, (ie: the prongs holding the large stone had teeny tiny stones on the sides!).

I have a point. I promise.

What is my point, you ask?

WE GOT MY RINGS TODAY!!!

A friend of mine told me her husband was doing contract work at a pawn shop. (He’s a jeweler.) She told me that I should go look at what they had at the pawn shop. Even if I found a stone that I liked, he could put it in a different setting if I wanted. So I went to look. I honestly wasn’t expecting to find ANYTHING. But I did! I found the most gorgeous ring I’ve ever seen. It’s a 3 stone, princess cut ring in PLATINUM! That’s right ladies! The middle stone sits higher than the side stones. The detail on the side of the prongs is really pretty. They criss cross. I’m not 100% sure of the total carat weight of the diamonds, but I think it’s close to 1 carat total.

I also found the wedding band that goes with the engagement ring. It is a platinum band that has 3 round stones and 2 baguettes alternating. They are very small so the band fits very close to the engagement ring, which is exactly what I wanted.

Now, normally, each of these rings would retail for over $1200. I was trying to find something affordable that would look good on my hand. Up until this point I had no such luck. Everything was over $3000!

Who can guess how much we got my rings for?!

$350!!! TOTAL!!!

YAY!!! I love good deals. Especially when it comes to jewelry. So we got to pick my rings up today. They have to be sized. They only fit to my knuckle!! LOL! But my friend’s husband (the jeweler) is going to size it for me. Right now, I’m wearing them by my knuckle. Hehe. They’re SOOOOO pretty!

Now, I won’t have them for long. Matthew is going to keep them until he officially proposes. He wants to ask my dad for permission to marry me before he proposes. And he has been waiting to do that until we had the rings. Even though my parents and most of my friends already know we’re getting married. We haven’t made any official announcements or anything. We just decided to start planning so I can get everything done that I want to. I plan on making a lot of stuff.

I’m rambling now. I’t s 1am. I’m tired. I will post pictures as soon as I can. I can’t get good ones on my phone.

Much Love,

Updates

Daddy is at home and is doing much better. He had a few complications once he got home, with his medicines, but they have all been fixed. He has had some trouble getting comfortable, because of the wound site from the surgery, but that is getting better as well.

I still haven’t found a job yet, but for the next week, I am back at GroupSource working while one of the other agents is on vacation. I’m so glad, because I get to see my friends again, and I get to make some money that I really need right now!

Matthew and I are looking for a place to live in Clarksville. I decided that I can’t afford to live alone, and I don’t want just anyone as a roommate. So we’re looking for something big enough for us, all of our stuff, and a room for his girls to stay in when they visit. We found a house that we really like, but we aren’t sure if we will get it or not. So we’re still looking.

And I’m still looking for a job. I have part time stuff, like working at GroupSource and a possible nanny job that would pay good. I’m going to be staying with my grandparents for a week in June and a couple of weeks in July, while my aunt is on vacation. So that will help too.

In OTHER news…..

Matthew is buying me a ring!

(It needs to be resized, obviously!)
We’re not officially engaged yet, but we’ve been talking for a while now, and we are going to get married. Some of you probably already know that. But I just wanted to post it anyways. I’m so happy.

Well, I better go. I’ll write more later.
