Quick update: my dad is home from the hospital! They said he may have been dehydrated and was on too much of his blood thinner medicine. He will not be taking any more for a few days.

1. My plans for Labor Day included packing for our move, but what really happened was went window shopping!

2. Call me crazy, but sometimes I just need to sleep all day long.

3. One of the funniest things I’ve seen lately is a picture of my mom holding the empty roll of aluminum foil she’s had longer than I’ve been alive!

4. It’s strange, but dvds out of alphabetical order drives me crazy while things out of place (but not messy) anywhere else is perfectly fine with me!

5. One, two, buckle my shoe… three, four with this move, I’ve never been excited more! 

My dad has been admitted to the hospital for the 3rd time in three weeks. So much for breaking the cycle! All I know as of right now is that his heart rate was high, his platelet count is extremely high, and something else was high. (Not sure what) He could be there for a few days. Please pray that the doctors can figure out what is wrong soon so my parents can go home. They’ve had a rough month!

I will post updates. Hope everyone else is doing good! Husband and I move next week. There WILL be pictures!

Great news! My dad is home from the hospital! Just in time for his BIRTHDAY! 50 years old today! Happy Birthday Daddy!!

Short and sweet today. Gotta go see my Daddy!

1. The first thing I think of when I get up in the morning is what time is it?…Gotta pee.

2. Lately, I’ve been craving  sweet potatoes  because they’re really yummy!.

3. Whenever anyone says the word sprinkler, it reminds me of my childhood because my sister and I would play in the sprinkler at my grandparent’s house while they would watch.

4. The happiest word I know is  love, but I think it is overused (just like the word hate) and underappreciated.

5. My spouse may hate it, but I absolutely love talking about future kids and planning for things that may or may not happen.

Hello friends. I just wanted to post a quick update. My dad had surgery on Wednesday to fix his abdominal wall. He went home on Friday and seemed to be doing pretty good, besides being loopy from the pain meds. This morning my mom text me while I was at church and said he was having extreme pain in his right leg and couldn’t walk. She called an ambulance and they came and got him.

We’ve been at the hospital for a few hours now. My sister and I are in the really nice atrium area of the hospital, since the ER room was so small. My mom is with my dad. We haven’t heard much, except that they think it might be a blood clot in his leg. They took him to do an ultrasound a couple hours ago, but I haven’t heard anything yet. I will post an update tomorrow, and if you follow me on Twitter or Facebook, you can see my updates as well. (If you want to that is!) 6:01 pm

So I posted this half an hour ago and we just saw a text from my mom saying his artery in his leg is completely blocked and they may have to do surgery. Trying to get more info now.  6:30 pm

His surgery went great! There was a small chance he could have lost his leg, but the procedure worked! All limbs intact! Praise the Lord! He will be in the hospital for a few days. They think the clot came from his heart. Praise God it moved to his leg & didn’t kill him! We are heading back to the hospital in a little bit. Thank you for prayers!  11:15am Monday

I decided to make today my Thankful Thursday. I’m so thankful for SITS and the opportunity to be their featured blogger on Monday. It was AWESOME!! I got lots of comment love and met some new blogging friends. YAY!

I’m thankful that my best friend is coming to see me tomorrow! Her baby shower is on Saturday but she’s coming down early just to hang out with me for a little while. She’s amazing.

I’m thankful for my husband. He cleaned up the living room and dining room (and even a little in the kitchen and my office!) tonight while my stepdaughter and I were at my parents’ house and shopping for baby shower supplies. He’s the BEST!

I’m thankful that my stepdaughter has been here this summer. I missed her so much this past year! She’s pretty awesome and has been a HUGE help to me today! I’m gonna miss her when she goes back home.

I’m extremely thankful for my parents. They raised me right and I am a MUCH better person because of them. They love me unconditionally, support me, and always give me sound advice. I also learned from their example. I praise God for them!

I’m especially thankful that my God is always present and never forsakes me. He provides for me, comforts me, and loves me no matter what. I am His and He is mine!

My dad is having surgery today to remove the cancer on his kidney. We will be at the hospital all day. Please keep my dad and my mom, sister, and I all in your prayers.

Also, please keep my aunt in your prayers as she is having surgery today as well. She had surgery a few weeks ago to repair her rotator cuff, and she got an infection. The infection messed up the repair so she has to have the surgery again.

My Grandma has gone home from the hospital, finally. YAY! Please pray for her recovery. It’s been hard on my Grandpa as well.

Matthew is doing great in Afghanistan. We get to talk quite a bit, which I am so thankful for! Please always remember him in your prayers!!

This past month has been so incredibly stressful. First my Grandma having surgery. Going in and out of the hospital. Then finding out that my husband is leaving in just a few weeks. Then I took my dad to get a CT scan done. He got the results a week later. Turns out, he has 2 spots on his right kidney. It’s cancer. He will have a biopsy done on June 14th to find out what kind. We are praying that it is not the same kind that his parents died from.

I’m also moving in less than a month! I have to pack. I have to rent a moving truck. I have to have all the funds available to move in. I have to switch things over to new accounts. Not to mention the week we will be out of town. SO basically I will have to pack up our apartment in like 2 weeks!

There is SO much going on. So much to do. So much stress. It’s very overwhelming.

In other news, we are bringing my stepdaughter home when we go out there for her older sister’s graduation. I am excited. She will get to spend time with her Daddy before he deploys. Unfortunately she has to go back the same day he leaves. (Don’t ask!) That makes me sad. I probably won’t get to see her again until he comes back.

I don’t really know what else to say right now. Life is happening.

I am SO excited!! My mom and dad bought us one place setting of our china as a bridal shower gift. They didn’t have it in the store, so they had to deliver it. And it got here TODAY!!

Daddy is at home and is doing much better. He had a few complications once he got home, with his medicines, but they have all been fixed. He has had some trouble getting comfortable, because of the wound site from the surgery, but that is getting better as well.

I still haven’t found a job yet, but for the next week, I am back at GroupSource working while one of the other agents is on vacation. I’m so glad, because I get to see my friends again, and I get to make some money that I really need right now!

Matthew and I are looking for a place to live in Clarksville. I decided that I can’t afford to live alone, and I don’t want just anyone as a roommate. So we’re looking for something big enough for us, all of our stuff, and a room for his girls to stay in when they visit. We found a house that we really like, but we aren’t sure if we will get it or not. So we’re still looking.

And I’m still looking for a job. I have part time stuff, like working at GroupSource and a possible nanny job that would pay good. I’m going to be staying with my grandparents for a week in June and a couple of weeks in July, while my aunt is on vacation. So that will help too.

We’re not officially engaged yet, but we’ve been talking for a while now, and we are going to get married. Some of you probably already know that. But I just wanted to post it anyways. I’m so happy.
